We will not forget~Adina still needs us

Dear friends and family,

In early 2009, our friend and fellow Biker for Christ member, Terry, began his quest to find out what was causing his difficult breathing. The answer came from his cardiologist Dr. Ben Atkeson, of Wake Heart Associates in Clayton after performing an ultra-sound on his heart. Severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is such a rare disease that it is estimated that only 30,000 people in the US currently have it. It has been noted, that most pulmonologists see this disorder only once in their entire career!

In 2012 Terry became a double lung transplant recipient at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
He and his wife were informed that the entire process will cost an estimated $1.9 million dollars and, were advised to start a fundraising campaign to offset the "extraordinary, unforeseen expenses" that come along with the whole process of lung transplantation.

Over the past two years Terry and Adina have fought hard to keep strong and by the grace of God have won precious time together. Unfortunately, Terry's new lungs never really healed completely and after many complications and 18 hospital stays, the doctors have informed Terry that there is no longer anything they can do to help his lungs. We trust God in all things and we know this diagnoses is serious but we still hold on to hope that God will heal Terry. Please keep praying. Our hearts are not ready to let go of such an amazing man and friend.

A serious need has arisen in this time for Terry's wife Adina. Unfortunately Adina lost her job last year. This job provided real income and most importantly, health and life insurance for Adina and Terry. Adina's new job does not have any of these benefits and she is barely making it month to month with her income and Terry's disability check. In order for Adina to keep her home and car should Terry pass, she would need our help. 

I am asking you as the Body of Christ, as members of family, friends and anyone who has been touched by these two wonderful people to please donate something to help Adina get through one of the hardest times in her life. If you cannot donate anything, that is fine, please be a prayer warrior for Terry, Adina, their children and grandchildren!
