Hi there,
I am a sixty three year old war veteran and this in my story.
I now reside in the UK and lost everything in Rhodesia when I left there in 1983. I moved to South Africa and withdrew all my pension and took it by taking a package offered by my employer. This was used to get the family to the UK, including my three children, as I saw no future for them in that Country.
I offer a postal repair service for most makes of walkie talkie two way radios. So I am fund raising to stay in business during these unsettled times. My work has dried up due to events across the Country been cancelled. Most of these events use two way radios, and I get repairs from dealers, security companies, leisure parks and centres, sporting events and so the list goes on.
This will benefit me as I doubt I will find other employment at my age. I don't have any spare funds as I lost a previous business (Protea Electronics Ltd) when I was treated for cancer some four and a half years ago. I was also evicted from my home as I could not pay the rent during this time.
The funds will be used to pay two months rent at my workshop and two installments on my vehicle. This will see me though to the June goverment funding for self employed persons with less than £50000.00 profit per year. Funding is urgent as rent is becoming overdue and vehicle payment is coming due.
This is really quite embarassing as I have never had to resort to this sort of plea before. Reaching my target will mean that I can sleep somewhat better at night knowing that I have the funds to see me through this crisis. I know the are thousands of other people in my situation and I really feel for them. That helpless feeling when you have no where to turn to, my business bank has refused to help with this small amount.
It would be so nice to be able to carry on doing what I love, instead of getting it all taken away by some virus that nobody has asked for or forseen. Any amount, no matter how small, will help to see me through the current crisis. Thank you once again and God bless you. I hope you and your family stay safe.

With best wishes
