Power of Books

The students at Downtown Denver Expeditionary School have been studying how children around the world access education.  Throughout the semester, we read a variety of books about children who face challenges to learn and have access to the resources they need.  

During this process, Korinne's crew  had the joy of connecting with another elementary school in Denver, Century Elementary through multiple pen pal letters. We  learned that students in that school struggle to access crucial educational resources.  We have chosen to advocate for their learning needs through educating others and fundraising money.  P
