<div>While pilgrims from around the world celebrate <strong>Saint James Day</strong>,<strong> </strong>here in Santiago de Compostela some of my neighbours struggle to put food on the table.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Food insecurity is not just a seasonal or a holiday problem—it is a year-round reality for some local families. That's why I run a small neighbourhood pantry here in Santiago.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The pantry helps about 16–20 people directly and even more indirectly through their extended families and friends. Together, we make sure that basic necessities such as food staples, cleaning products and personal hygiene items remain available when they are needed most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It costs an <strong>absolute minimum of €500 per month </strong>to keep the shelves stocked with the essentials. Anything above that helps provide a few extras, making life a little brighter during holidays and special occasions—including Saint James Day itself.
</div>

</div>
<div>If you would like to help me turn kindness into groceries, you can:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Donate directly here via GoFundMe (which takes a small fee)
</li>
<li>Donate via PayPal: <button data-competitor="competitor-link" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/EgeriaHouseSantiago</button> (PayPal does not take a fee from me)
</li>
<li>Share this fundraiser with friends, family, fellow pilgrims, or on social media
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>More information about the pantry and how it works can be found here: <a href="https://egeria.house/the-pantry-story" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://egeria.house/the-pantry-story</a>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>I regularly post updates, photos and videos here on GoFundMe so you can see exactly how your donativo has been transformed into food and other essentials for local families.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Every donation matters, because every person matters.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And if you ever come to Santiago, you're welcome to visit. I'll happily show you the pantry, go with you for a coffee, and answer any questions you may have.
</div>
