Bret Tkacs Motorcycle Training Scholarship

Motorcycling is a shrinking industry and few youth are joining in on the passion we enjoy so much. This scholarship fund will make a consideration for both the next generation of riders that will influence others as well as any rider that shows a potential to be a mentor for others.

I am dedicated to helping riders become educated, skilled and safe. I am always saddened when a rider who is motivated to improve is held back through financial hardships.

In my 24 years as a professional educator in motorcycling, this has happened too many times. I am asking you to help me assist those who cannot afford to become properly educated.

This GoFundMe account will be used a scholarship to help riders attend my training classes, training camps and training tours.  Riders must submit a statement as to why they need financial help, why they are deserving of your financial help and why hands-on education/training is important to them.

These applicants will be vetted by a small committee of riders.  Although this fund is primarily to help ADV riders attend training, it may be extended to street training or even training beyond what I offer.

I have always worked hard to keep the training I offer within reach of as many riders as possible.  However, with annual increases in land rents, travel expenses, insurance and other expenses it has continually creeped up over the years. Because I work to keep tuition as low as possible, I have little room to offer discounts.

Volunteer work such as trail maintenance, information campaigns or working as an instructor (MSF or similar), range aide, military motorcycle mentor or any other show of dedication and giving back to the industry will also be considered.

In the end, I want to help those who are deserving of help.  Thank you for your support.
