Adrienne's heart

Donation protected
On April 16th Adrienne had a heart attack.

Luckily her defibrillator kicked in and shocked her heart twice to bring her back around.  This was only two weeks after she had the pacemaker implanted, but yet another serious health event in a couple of years of serious health events.
Adrienne has had more than her fair share of illness. Three years ago (just as the last of her girls started out on her own), she was diagnosed with vulver cancer, at the young age of 44.
Last fall, after having another six months cancer free, Adrienne landed a new job with PGE. Just as she was to start her training, she started having severe pain to the point of hospitalization. The gall bladder had to come out. PGE said they would hold the position for her and she could take part in the next training session. Although, this was a great relief, she had no income.
Then, just as she was ready to restart the training for her job she had a tachycardia (dangerously elevated heart rate. A cardiogram and cardioechogram later she was diagnosed with heart failure (nonischemic cardiomyopaty). Her heart is unable to oxygenate the blood at the rate it is supposed to.  It is a permanent condition.
On March 20th she had a pacemaker implanted and that is what saved her the day of her heart attack.
As you can imagine, money to pay rent, buy food, and all of the things that we must have money for has been critically low and Adrienne can't work. She can't drive a car for six months, she can't lift her left arm above her shoulder and she is easliy winded and fatigued.  Her daughters have been helping out, but they are young and starting their families. Her father just passed away. Her mother has been helping as much as she can, but she is 72 and looking at slowing down.
Meanwhile, Adrienne has applied for social security/disability, but that takes awhile. She doesn't qualify for in home care, because she hasn't been identified as disabled yet and the same applies for any cash assistance. She is in limbo. She has cut back as much as she can and her rent is affordable (normally), she just needs a boost to see her through until social services kicks in. And she is still looking to work by trying to find something from home! The situation is getting desparate. Please help. If you can't help financially, but you are in the Scappoose area, I am sure a homecooked meal would be appreciated. Maybe someone to help get her around or just play game of cards. Adrienne has always been a kind, generous, thoughtful and helpful person. Now the helper needs our help.
