We have all known Adrienne for a long time. She needs help NOW to bridge herself while undergoing life-saving surgery, recovery and the ability to get back to work. She has been supporting her mother who needs day to day care and transportation. Adrienne recently suffered a heart attack and needs quadruple bypass surgery that will take place later this month.
Adrienne had previously fallen ill from living in a rented apartment that had a fungus in the walls that got into her blood stream and before being diagnosed it affected her brain functions. She fought back from that, moved to another apartment and took her mother in. While taking care of her mother she was also trying to gain traction as a consultant in the field of corporate communications. She was about to get back to work and was very excited about that.
Adrienne has her hands full and runs a loaded schedule. However, not too long ago her mother fell ill and needed increased care and attention. Adrienne worked hard to keep things going while looking after her mother. There is limited income. Adrienne herself needs expensive drugs to keep her infections at bay, including special MS medications (an additional USD500/Mo) not covered under any of her medical plans.
She is a courageous woman, has always been there for us with kind and uplifting words, but now is the time she needs our support. The target of 15k is mainly to allow Adrienne a peace-of-mind recovery time, without worry and to help maintain care for her mother.
Please send her your well wishes and any small amount will do.
The funds will be used to include support for her and her mother who have both had a hard time recently and needs support to help cover rent, post-operative services, cardiac rehab, and medications that aren’t covered so that she can heal from the bypass surgery without the stress of figuring out how to cover "it all" while in recorvery, especially given that she will not be able to work for at least 3 months post surgery.
