Adrianne's Medical Brigade to Ghana

Hello! My name is Adrianne Nguyen and I am a second year pre-medical student at the University of San Diego. This upcoming January, I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Ghana with USD Medical Brigades to serve an underprivileged community who has limited to no access to health care. However, I cannot get there without your help!
Your generous donations will go directly towards my medical brigade to Ghana where I will help serve within impoverished communities to give free access to essential healthcare clinics, clean water, sustainable living conditions, and a sense of empowered independence. It will also go towards medical supplies, domestic necessities for families, and educational seminars for community members.
Through this medical brigade, I will attain an immersive experience and learn more about myself, the people of Ghana, and the medical field. I will gain a new perspective and learn how to empathize with people from a completely different cultural, social, and economic background than my own. My experience on this brigade will better prepare me for my life goals because it will expose me to the reality of working in medically underserved communities and teach me important leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. This brigade will also prepare me with the necessary skills, knowledge, and compassion that will shape me into a well-rounded individual and future physician.
