Adriana's Graduation Dream Needs Your Help

Hola! My name is Fabiola and I’m raising funds for my amazing friend Adriana to be able to finish her education. Adriana is an amazing asset to our Tucson, AZ community as she’s a commissioner for the City of Tucson, Ambassador of Sustainability for Tucson and is a strong advocate for climate change and literacy.

Help Me Cross the Finish Line to Graduation!

I’m excited to be just one class away from achieving a lifelong goal: earning my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Arizona State University (ASU). After 15 years of dedication, perseverance, and overcoming financial barriers, I’m so close to graduating this spring!

Here’s my journey:

* In 2009, I began my post-secondary education at the University of Arizona on a scholarship and federal grants.

* Unfortunately, I had to start working multiple jobs to afford expenses and lost my scholarship. No longer able to afford tuition, I transferred my credits to Pima Community College, where I earned my associate’s degree.

* In 2013, I began pursuing my bachelor’s degree at ASU. By 2018, I had completed most of my coursework, but I had to pause my studies due to financial constraints.

* In 2022, after a four-year break, I resumed classes thanks to my employer’s new tuition assistance program, which allowed me to take two classes per year. Slowly but surely, I made it to my final semester!

I’ve worked full-time throughout my studies and recently earned a $1,000 scholarship from ASU. However, I’m still short of covering my tuition for this last class.

I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community for support. With your help, I can graduate on time this spring and finally achieve my dream.
