My mom is my number one best friend. We are basically all we have for eachother. A little over two years ago, we were for the most part, a happy family of four, my dad, mom, brother, and I. My mom had just finished renovating her dream kitchen in our dated house. She was so excited, she got to pick out every single detail and it turned out stunning. She was making this home our forever home. Unfortunately, in January 2018, when we were just finishing the renovations, we were all completely blindsided. My Dad decided that he loved someone else and he left us just like that. I am not going to go into all the personal details but, long story short, My mom was forced to sell her dream house that she had always wanted because we couldn't afford to live there without my dad's income and we had just used all of the money on renovations. We were all completely devastated and living in denial. My mother has never put herself first. She has always done everything for everyone else and she deserves the world. I think us kids take our mothers for granted way too often. We both still struggle with our mental health (my mom more than I) but like everyone, we have our good days and our bad days. Almost two years ago, we started renting a main floor of a home. It was incredibly difficult for her to downsize as she ran a home daycare for 14 years and she had to get a new job. My goal here is to raise money for her so that we can start our new life over with a new house that she can call her forever home. She is currently trying to make this rental house her home but because it is a rental she is hesitant to alter anything, and she doesn't know I am doing this, but she talks about her dream to be able to build her dream house all the time and I want to help make that dream come true for her because she has been through so much and I really want her to know how much she means to so many people. We have already started saving as much as we can but it would mean the world to her and I to be able to make our dream become a reality.
