Hey everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to visit our fundraising page! We would love to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and explain why we have chosen to expand our family through adoption.
We are Benjamin & Kacy Brancheau and this is our story...
We met in the traditional way, online dating haha, sparking a whirlwind romance leading to marriage six months later and have since been married for five and a half years. One of the many things that connected us were our childhoods and our personal attachments to adoption.
Ben’s story began at birth, with the adoption process having been started prior to being born. His birthmother was younger and knew she was unable to provide the life that she knew he deserved. She was connected with Ben’s adoptive parents, looking to adopt, and realized they were the perfect fit for him! His adoptive parents went on to raise him as their own, adopting a second son two years later, and having a daughter of their own two years after that. Ben grew up having the life his birthmother knew he deserved and he never felt out of place within the family. He has never had a true connection with his birthmother but has never waivered to feeling right at home amongst his adoptive family. Adoption truly holds a special place in his heart and he looks forward to adopting a child of his own!
Kacy’s story began the day her mom met her stepfather, around fifteen months old. For the first ten years, her biological father was in and out of her life, but her one constant male figure remained her stepdad. Kacy always knew that he was meant to be her dad and finally at the age of thirteen her dream became a reality, when he legally adopted her. She realized, through her own journey, that blood doesn’t define what family is. It’s unconditional and selfless love.
We both knew that we wanted a family of our own, and adoption has always been a key component to this. With Kacy having PCOS, we always knew that fertility would be a struggle. We are now truly ready to start OUR adoption journey, and though there are rough roads ahead, we cannot wait to start a family and fulfill our dreams of becoming parents! We are ready to provide a loving and happy home just like we had growing up. Through your donations, you are helping this dream become a reality for us. This means the world and we will be forever grateful and thankful to anybody willing to lend a helping hand because it truly takes a village.
