Adopt-a-Family for the holiday

It has been a hard year on everyone, some more than others. Every year I adopt a family and organize people to pitch in to give them a holiday that would otherwise be pretty bleak. These families are vetted, mostly anonymous and are always in need. $20 can buy a toy for a child who's parents are struggling to provide food for the holidays. The picture is from last year's donations. We got them toys, giftcards, grocery store cards, and a computer so the kids can keep up in school and rise out of their circumstances. This year's family:

Jessica is a single mother of 4 including 3 toddlers. She lost her job due to the pandemic and her unemployment just ran out.

Jessica: "My children get sad because they don't understand why we have to stay home all day and why parks are not safe because of a virus. My wish this year is
for my children to have a smile on their faces this Christmas despite the hardships we as a family have faced."
