Medical bills and equipment

Hello, I am a 61 year old single woman living on Canada Pension Disability plus another small pension.  Eleven years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through surgery & 6 months of chemo treatments.  Over the next 3 years I went through 1 major surgery, septecemia pneumonia & 1 more mastectomy.  My health for the most part was failrly stable for a few years although I was continually being diagnosed with more & more health issues & an increase in  pain.  In 2010 I had a bad fall & fractured my left shoulder in 2 places.  It was a very long recovery for me.  I lost my part time job, had to move for the first time in 20 years.  Since then my health has continued to decline & finally in 2011 I was diagnosed with severe over all Lymphadema.  Treatment was started at the hospital, but after 7 months of little change they stopped the treatment.  The Lymphadema is severe because it went undiagnosed for 9 years and was missed by 17 Doctors and medical professionals.  There is equipment that I could purchase and have at home so that I could be treated 5 - 7 days a week - the cost of the equipment is $12,00.00.  I tried to get the goverment to pay for it but was refused 3 times.  I have shown 2 pictures of the machine, vest and pants.  It is $12,000.00 for everything. the site does not allow me to add a 2nd picture without also adding a cost.

To date I have beein diagnosed with 9 different health problems, all since chemo therapy. They include, Type 11 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Arthritis, Neuralgia, Sleep Apnea, Acid Reflux, IBS, Thyroid problems, and the Lymphadema.  I am in constant pain from the lymphadema, nerve pain damage from the chemo & arthritis, am constantly fatigued from all the same issues as well.  

After much consideration, prayer and discussion with friends I have now started on a new journey with accupuncture treatments and a Health Proffessional is working with me on lymph drainage massage and lifestyle change.  In only 3 weeks we are starting to see changes in my body which is exciting and giving me "Hope" for a better life.  The accupuncture is expensive, health care does pay a very small portion for 10 visits a year and after that I will have to cover the whole cost.  Since it has taken a lot of years for my health to get so bad it is going to take time to get better & I have no idea how many treatments I will need.  The Health Practitioner is sharing her wisdom, knowledge and time with me.  I have a very strong faith and I belive that will help me to get through this and once again be well.  The accupuncture treatments cost 325.00 for 5 treatments if I can afford to pay for 5 at a time I save $50.00.  At this time there is no way of know how many treatments I will need to relieve the pain and the lymphadema.
