Help Samarasa Rebuild

Donation protected
As many of you know, I moved to LA in June of 2017 to open a yoga, meditation + Pilates center with my brother Nick after living abroad in Europe, Mexico and Asia for 10 years. I returned to the states to put my heart into creating a space for people dedicated to transforming their lives for the better.

Moving back to the states and opening up my own business has been the hardest thing I have done in my life to date. I have been more confronted with my own judgments, insecurities and limitations than I can remember, but it has also afforded me the gifts of integration and community.

Over the past 3 years I've watched this space go from an empty CrossFit warehouse to a beautiful, love and light-filled center where people came for support in moving their bodies and opening their minds and their hearts. A place where we all felt safe to be ourselves.

In so many ways this Samarasa community has taught me more about yoga than all of the studying, practicing, teaching and traveling ever could. It's taught me the importance of grounding and finding the middle path. It's taught me about what it looks like to live the inner work outwardly. It continues to teach and support me now - lovingly nudging me to keep going.

Since we announced the closing of our physical space, the community outpouring has been humbling. So many of you have reached out and come by the center to share memories... to cry and to laugh with us as we say goodbye to this cycle. With each passing day, it becomes clearer that this community is only gaining strength and all that's left for me to do now is facilitate the growth that's asking to be born.

I've received so many requests about how to support Samarasa, where to donate, that I felt like the next step was just to follow the simple instructions. So I created this campaign. If you feel called to support us in this way, here's the opportunity.

With over $27,000 owed in rent for the months we were closed, any contribution you make to Samarasa will help us to continue forward in navigating the close of this current chapter and to rebuild our vision. Your contribution will help us to continue our work in creating a space for inner and outer change.

Although this time has been very challenging, I can't help but notice the opportunity it brings towards reimagining a more inclusive, communal, environmentally sustainable and collaborative way of doing business.

We have been very blessed with a beautiful physical space, but this community has always been about the people. And as long as you keep showing up, we will keep showing up. I feel excited for this next iteration of Samarasa - for the discovery of new ways to come together in community.

Please help us to keep going.
