Adena’s Fight

I’m Dena Jaworski and this fundraising page is to help my niece Adena and her mom (my sister Lori) with the financial burden that comes with fighting
cancer.  Adena was born with a rare 
genetic disorder called Nijmegen 
Breakage Syndrome.  This syndrome
involves her being immunocompromised, having microcephaly and having a
predisposition to certain cancers.  On August 20, 2020, Adena was 
diagnosed with a rare cancer called 
dysgerminoma.  Because of her rare genetic disorder treatment options are 
limited due to the fact that she's 
missing the gene that repairs damaged DNA.  Adena requires a lot of medical 
attention and has been hospitalized 
multiple times.  This causes my sister 
to miss a lot of work.  Although her 
time off is covered by FMLA, it is 
unpaid time off.  The short paychecks
are making it very difficult for her to be
able to pay the necessary bills.  I'm 
hoping this page will help them in this
difficult time.

We wanted to throw an actual 
fundraiser but because of the Rona
numbers increasing, we were having a difficult time finding a place that would even let us host an event of that size.

Any help would be very much
