Adelyn's Class Special Olympics

The Special Olympics Summer Games being held in Stillwater are rapidly approaching and our Addie Bug and her classmates are in need of your generosity to help them reach their goal!
Just recently we learned, after thinking the goal had been met, that we have actually fallen short of the amount necessary to participate this year. The costs to send 127 athletes is roughly $38,000. Thanks to the extraordinary and dedicated work of the Special Needs staff and extensive fundraising efforts, they were able to raise all but $3,500.  This shortfall has left administrators, teachers, support staff and families scrambling to raise the funds we need but, due to time constraints and fundraising rules (they aren’t allowed to have anymore this year), our options are incredibly limited.

These kids have worked so hard preparing, from practicing for their events to working on developing their life and self-care skills. They deserve this opportunity to interact in an environment where they can be their true selves without fear of judgement and to have their differences celebrated. Please help us give them their chance to take centerstage and truly shine.
