Adelia Hopman's Eagle Scout Project - Feral Cat Houses
Donation protected
Hello: My name is Adelia Hopman and I am currently a Life Scout in Frederick Troop 3017. I am working on my Eagle Scout Project which is my final step towards achieving Eagle Scout Rank, the highest rank in scouting.
For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I am partnering with Darby’s Place Cat Rescue in Mount. Airy, MD. I will be building feral cat houses to help feral cat communities perform TNR (trap, neuter/spay, release) more easily. The houses allow volunteers to locate, monitor, and access the feral cats in order to provide medical assistance, food, shelter, and ability to trap them for procedures.
To accomplish the above, I am organizing and leading the work project next month, May of 2024, involving over 15 Scouts and Adults, working over a month long period. It will involve , involving approximately 400 work hours and an expenditure of approximately $500 in materials, hardware, and supplies.
Please find it in your heart to support my Eagle Scout project and Darby’s Place Cat Rescue by donating whatever you can to my GoFundMe to make this project possible. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated.
All donations will go towards the project, and any money left over will be donated directly to Darby’s Place Cat Rescue.
Thank you so much for your support!
