Adee Phelan’s NHS Gift for Heroes is back for Christmas!
Gift for Heroes is back for Christmas due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the UK. This is a little something extra for key NHS staff to say ‘thank you’ for their hard work on a very testing and turbulent year.
As you may know Celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan has been giving back to the NHS throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by setting up his ‘Thank You to the NHS’ gift box campaign and for the last few months the NHS Pop-ups campaign.
At the beginning of Lockdown Adee had an idea that he would like to give something back to the NHS heroes, so began collecting hair and beauty products to gift to NHS workers - this all took place in Adee’s front room.
It was incredible to see multiple product companies showing their generosity by donating pallets of products to Adee who then packaged them up and delivered gift boxes to hospital NHS workers with help from a small team.
The campaign saw Adee donate over a staggering 17,926 boxes to 47 hospitals, equating to more than £1,300,000 worth of retail donations.
Adee then went on to run three hugely successful pop-ups in London, Liverpool and Manchester giving free haircuts and blowdrys to over 1,300 NHS staff!
