Addy's Ears

Adalynn Grace Houghton was born on April 6, 2017 with profound hearing loss in both ears caused by a genetic mutation. Since she was 2 months old she has been wearing adorable pink hearing aids, which allow her to hear some sounds, but not all. With hearing aids alone she is unable to hear most speech. With extensive testing and therapy, it has been decided that Addy is a candidate for bilateral cochlear implants, which will give her the ability to hear, therefore the ability to learn to speak and communicate. She will undergo 2 surgical procedures to get her cochlear implants, the first being when she is just 10 months old!
I am creating this account on behalf of my brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Shannon Houghton, to help with Addy's medical expenses. Because Addy is growing so quickly she frequently needs new molds for her hearing aids. She will need therapy for several years to help her learn how to hear and speak. Insurance does not cover any of this and will not cover a majority of the cost of the surgeries.
