Addison Needs Help.

She's a dog but I swear she has 9 lives. On Tuesday, our sweet Addison went into surgery for a bowel obstruction. This was her 2nd surgery in 6 months for an obstruction. On New Year's Eve I took her to the emergency vet because she was vomiting, diarrhea, lethargic, and not eating.  They found an obstruction and with that obstruction, a cancerous mass the size of a tennis ball.  We had been on the mend for nearly 6 months until Tuesday.  She hasn't recovered like we hoped and we have be notified she is leaking fluid into her abdomen. If she doesn't go into surgery immediately, she will become septic. Her first surgery on NYE was $5500.  Our vet bill is currently at $4500 but after this second surgery, her total will at $10,000.  We would never put a price tag on our sweet girl but this definitely will cause some financial strain for us.

She's one of a kind.  We adopted her nearly 4 years ago and after adopting her, we decided we wanted to help more dogs like her. Since then, we've fostered nearly 70 dogs that needed our help.  Everyone that meets her immedaitely falls in love. She sleeps between us each night and we love her unconditionally -- some may say we are obsessed.
