I am trying to raise funds to help donate 10 specially designed and modified adaptive bowling ramps for individuals with cognitive and physical impairments. The bowling ramps are meant to support a special needs program that is already hosted by the bowling alley in Endicott, NY.
We felt the adaptive bowling ramps were not engaging enough for children with special needs, therefore, we decided to enhance a ramp and add a patented mechanical feature. Our mechanical feature allows the user to press a button that releases a lever allowing a bowling ball to be released from the top of the ramp and onto the lane. The ramp can be free standing or can be attached to a wheel chair. We have seen some very positive feedback from the group we work with and allowed individuals to use it at a special olympics events.
The cost of each ramp is $135 for the basic version but for an extra $15 we can add a laser guide and a voice feature. However, with the extra fees from gofundme we need to increase the goal limit to meet the 10 ramp costs.
