Adam's Spinal Cord injury recovery.

Donation protected
Hi all,  as many of you know my brother, Adam, his wife, Katie, and their beautiful twins, Evie and Declan, relocated to Colorado Springs last March.

Unfortunately, last weekend Adam was hit by a mortorcycle traveling at over 100 miles an hour.

"For those of you who have not heard, I was in a serious car accident last Saturday. I was T-boned by a motorcycle traveling close to a hundred miles an hour. My injuries include a broken arm, a fractured shoulder blade , fractured rib , fractured vertebrae and a bruised kidney, with plenty of pain to go with it. Most importantly I have spinal damage. In short, I have another spinal cord injury which has affected my left arm, my "good arm".   I will have surgery in order to fuse my third and fourth vertebrae. I will then go back to rehab to try and gain some of the function that I lost. Looks like I'm back to square one. Again . Thank you in advance for any thoughts, prayers, and warm feelings for me and my family."

The good news is that surgery yesterday was a success, and Adam is resting well at the hospital.  The bad news is that now the real work starts.   Imagine only having one good arm.  Now take that arm and try to function without using your deltoid muscle.  The therapy demands will be high.  There will be extensive medical bills, loss of earnings, all the while keeping up with the demands of a family with two young, active toddlers!

These funds will be used to support all aspects of Adam's recovery.  His car is totaled.  His wheelchair may not function properly, and there are potential modifications needed for his house based on this new  loss of deltoid function.

We are most thankful he is alive! He will continue to be a great father and husband!  He is very lucky to have such a great support network!  Thank you all for all the thoughts, prayers and kind words during this trying time.
