Adam’s last chance to defeat Leukemia

Donation protected
Adam was born on 02/16/2016 in Syria. We immigrated to Britain in 2017 as refugees. A year ago, Adam was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of Leukemia AML M7. He was so poorly . he had his first  chemotherapy on 1st of December last year . It was really strong  and  Effect his heart function so he needed to stay at intensive care unit for few days . He achieved a remission after first round but he needed to continue at least three more cycles . The doctors decided to change his second chemotherapy to gentle one due to his heart failure function . It was smooth and less side effects.  We were really happy with the results as it showed he was still in remission.    After his third chemotherapy, his CT scan and MRI showed that an infection in his chest that's need to treat as soon as possible.  They tried different medicines for few weeks but no improved. Then they told us that he needs to remove part from his right side lung . We were too worried as his small body will go under big surgery and will took at least eight hours. In June , the plan was to have his last round of chemotherapy , he was really in good health , happy , active , smiley boy . Sadly, he relapse after three weeks , the chance to survive was 20-25% and he did it ! After that , he should had another round of strong chemotherapies  to prepare him to go to next step "bone marrow transplant"  So we admitted to bone marrow until at LGI and stayed there in isolated room for eight weeks.  His bone marrow in October was clear and 100% donor's cells.  unfortunately he relapsed again last week , with 7% blast cells in his bone marrow , not that big number ! But doctors decided to stop the treatment claiming that he will not beat cancer. He may have chance to treat in a specialized cancer hospital or register with new methods and be part in new studies trial around the world -  but he needs to be in good health , we are trying to give some supplement and vitamins to improve his situation . If he becomes in a good health we may take him to US to treat his leukemia. this process is expensive, we can’t afford it at all. This is his last chance to fight cancer. if any thing happen to Adam make him more poorly and not eligible for trial treatments , then donations will go to charities who support children with cancer and there families.
