Adam Runs For Annie's Hope

My wife Roxanne past away nearly 3 years ago. She had a long-term illness called autoimmune hepatitis. She required an organ transplant. While on a waiting list, she contracted pneumonia and died. This left myself and two kids (ages 15 and 18 at the time) emotionally devastated.
Today, our grief is not as intense as it once was; we are better. We still miss her. Roxanne was a joy.
We were and are blessed to have received so much support from family and friends. One organization that also helped us through our grief journey is called Annie's Hope: The Bereavement Center for Kids.
Annie's Hope is a grass roots organization that was started 16 years ago by a hospital nurse who saw a need for grieving kids. It's a non-profit organization. They focus solely on the needs of grieving children, adolescents and their families in the St. Louis region.
Financial support for Annie's Hope comes from individuals (38%), corporations (30%), foundations (16%), fund raising events (12%), community organizations (3%) and other sources (1%).
I am going to run in my first marathon soon. And while that is a fine personal ambition, I'd like to also raise some money for Annie's Hope. In my opinion, it is a worthy charity. I hope you think so too.
