Adam Nelson is a funny, charismatic man who, is currently in intensive care after he was shot multiple times by police outside his home in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. His family is praying for him to pull through the trauma he has suffered from the gunshot wounds, as well as his mental state.
On the evening of 7/11/2020, Adam was shot multiple times by police during a welfare check on his mental state when concern was raised about him feeling suicidal. He just began a new job about a month ago and we are unaware if his health benefits have kicked in yet or not. Even if they have, medical expenses will be large considering the injuries he is suffering and surgeries he will need to hopefully recover. He suffered gunshot wounds to his chest, abdomen, shoulder, and wrist. He has already had one surgery to remove part of his damaged small intestine. He will need one or more to repair his wrist. He will need ongoing care mentally as well after leaving the hospital.
At this time the family is hoping and praying Adam has a positive recovery as he is currently in intensive care. Adam is a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. The medical expense alone will no doubt add stress to his mental state and we hope as a family we can get him help as his road will be long medically both physically and mentally. The funds will help Adam with any medical expenses he will accrue after this horrible tragedy as well with any expenses accrued on the road to recovery mentally.
He is a kind soul that loves riding his motorcycle, loves his niece and nephew, and lights up a room with his humor. His family is deeply hurting right now as we pray for his recovery. Please help him in any way you feel you can.
