Adam and Rose’s accident recovery fund

On the night of dec 27th, Adam Terrell lost consciousness.  This would not have been a remarkable event had he not been driving on a Florida highway, going 60 mph. His intrepid wife Rose (Lisa Andresen) quickly grabbed the wheel and, with action hero-esque verve, managed to keep the wheels pointed downward and to avoid hitting the surrounding cars. Had the other drivers known of the events inside the careening coupe, I'm confident they would have expressed appreciation. Rose was not, however, able to avoid that most Floridian of perils, the swamp. In a scene reminiscent of Luke crash landing into Dagobah, only much less controlled, the car exited the road and entered the chilly, mucky waters going quite fast.

When Rose regained consciousness, she crawled out of the wreckage and toward the road. After climbing the embankment,  she flagged down a driver, who stopped and called 911. This all sounds way more impressive when I tell you that her hand and spine were fractured.

There is lots of good news:  no one is dead or paralyzed, everyone is conscious, no other cars were harmed in the making of this action film and Rose has definitely overcome her fear of driving.  The future is unknowable, but it likely includes some surgery for Adam, whose spine was also fractured in the swamp,  as well as physical therapy and quite a bit of time off work. We don’t know yet what is needed or what insurance will cover, but at a minimum, they will have plenty of uncovered expenses and will need quite a bit of help. I can imagine there will be home maintenance costs, dog maintenance costs,  food and transportation costs, as well as lost income since I don't think Rose will be drawing or podcasting and Adam will not be at a desk for a while.  Please help however much you can.
