Adam and Anya's Medical Expenses

Adam and Anya have been married for just over 10 years now and have six kids between them. (I only have a pic of the four youngest!) In the years that we've known them,  Adam and Anya have been wonderful friends. They are always willing to help and go out of their way to be there for their friends and family who need it.  Just two weeks ago, they received the shocking and devastating news that Adam has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.  Just yesterday, he underwent surgery to remove the mass and the affected testicle.  It has been a whirlwind of doctors and testing and decisions.  And there are still more results coming to determine how much further treatment Adam will need.
As the primary income earner in their large family, having to take up to four weeks off of work to recover from surgery is a heavy burden for Adam.  Not to mention, if he needs further treatment such as radiation or chemotherapy to treat the cancer, his time off work will go from merely weeks, to possibly months.  Also, during all of the drama of doctors' appointments and testing, Adam and Anya learned that although they have health insurance, their out-of-pocket costs will likely add up to thousands of dollars and depending on the next step in treatment that is recommended, could become tens of thousands.  For example, each doctor and laboratory visit so far has cost them $50 each and the estimated out of pocket expense for the absolutely necessary surgery that was performed yesterday is nearly $5000.  And of course, this does not take into consideration Adam's lost wages.  
Please consider helping this hardworking family to get out from under this burden caused by a terrible disease that no one has control over.  Adam and Anya are one of the most caring and selfless couples that we've known and would go out of their way to help anyone.  We want them to know they are loved and not alone during this difficult time.
