Adaline is an adorable, sweet, loving one-year-old who was recently diagnosed with Infantile Fibrosarcoma. In Mid- March, there was a golf ball sized tumor found under Adaline's armpit.  Adaline went on to have an MRI and biopsy. The results came back showing that Adaline has Infantile Fibrosarcoma. Infantile Fibrosarcoma is a type of cancer that forms in fibrous connective tissue and is found in infants. The good news about the type of Infantile Fibrosarcoma that Adaline has is that there is a targeted drug that can shrink the tumor. Luckily with this drug, she will most likely not need chemotherapy or radiation. Once the tumor has shrunk enough, she will have it surgically removed. It is great news that this drug is able to help Adaline, but the bad news is that it comes at a cost. The drug that Adaline needs to shrink this tumor is a rather expensive drug, costing 16,000 dollars a month. This drug is life-saving for Adaline. Along with the cost of the medicine, it is a 45-minute drive to the hospital that Adaline must go to for her doctor, which adds up in mileage.  We are so grateful for the love and support we receive from the community. With the prayers and help we receive from everyone, we are able to get the medicine for Adaline in a quicker and easier manner. Again, we thank everyone for their support and prayers.
