HELP US MAKE OUR “NEW DAY TOUR" A REALITY!

We are ADAAWE, seven women of the drum and voice. We perform uplifting “contemporary world fusion,” incorporating African drumming, gospel harmony and global soul, with members from Kenya, Morocco, Panama, Los Angeles, New York and Montana. ADAAWE recently performed at the wedding of Stevie Wonder, have opened for luminaries like James Brown, and performed at festivals and performing arts stages across the U.S. ADAAWE takes a stand for women's rights and human rights in a divided world. Oprah's recent call for "A New Day" in women's rights is echoed by ADAAWE's visionary music video of the same name.

ADAAWE’s message of unity, love and inclusion is a healing force for our times. So, we are launching our “New Day Tour” in the summer of 2018, a celebration of women’s wisdom and the power of positive music to lift spirits and inspire change. We invite you to partner with us! All contributions are greatly appreciated.

The tour will begin in our hometown of Los Angeles in July, and continue with dates on the U.S. East Coast and beyond.  On the East Coast, we are partnering with Levitt Foundation for Levitt AMP audiences in New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont, in part because of the far-reaching vision of the Foundation, which seeks to revitalize community places where “social and economic barriers are broken... strengthening the social fabric of our cities.”

Although the Foundation cannot pay our travel expenses, we are committed to sharing our musical message of inclusion with these communities, and so we are reaching out to you for your support! The more funds we raise, the more dates we will add. If you would like to reach out to suggest a performance in your community, please do!
