Ad Lucem music fund

Donation protected
We created this account in 2020 so that we may safely and conveniently accept donations from anyone who would like to make a donation to our ensemble's music fund. This was especially important for our 9th Annual Christmas Concert and Carol Sing in December of 2020 because, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were not able to host an in-person event. But, we still successfully offered a live stream event. Even though we have been able to return to offering our event in-person in 2021 and now this year, 2022, we are still live streaming as well to make our event as available as possible.

The $500 goal is really just an arbitrary number we picked... we are grateful for ANYTHING!

Donations for this event will go toward offering adequate honorariums (especially to our guest musicians, the primary members do not typically receive an honorarium) for this event and those in the future. Any money left beyond that goes to our general fund to be used for miscellaneous music and concert expenses. Over all, donations are used to facilitate our sharing beautiful music with our community.

We give our heartiest thanks to any and all who have chosen to donate to our music fund and for all who support us in every way!

May you be abundantly blessed!

About Ad Lucem:

Ad Lucem is a small ensemble consisting primarily of four ladies: Bev Ratajak (pianist, organist & soprano), Alison Seeber (soprano), Julie Tourtellotte (soprano) and Laura Yeates (alto), but often featuring other guest artists as the music calls for it. The name, "Ad Lucem", is Latin for "toward the light" and meant to reflect their desire to give experiences through music that bring us all closer to our source of spiritual light. They hope to delight and inspire their audience with diverse programs of music (both sacred and secular) which include works by local composers. Ad Lucem is set apart by the skillful union of the rare musical quality and beauty each performer contributes, creating a truly unique and spiritual listening experience!

About our 2022 11th Annual Christmas Concert and Carol Sing...

Featured musicians:
Bev Ratajak (piano/organ), Alison Seeber (soprano) Julie Tourtellotte (soprano), Laura Yeates (alto/tenor), John Seeber (baritone), Jeremy Arrant (guitar), Andrew Seeber (guitar and vocal bass), Annie Appleton (alto), Michelle Golan (soprano), Amy Wiggins (folk harp) and Hannah Hillebrand (cello).

Our audience will be invited to sing favorite traditional carols with us interspersed between both old favorites and less known but beautiful Christmas songs featuring a mix of individual soloists, duets or the entire ensemble, in addition to related scripture readings.
We are SO excited that all of our original veteran musicians have returned this year, joining forces with our newer musicians giving an exquisite spectrum of sound, which promises to be a beautiful and moving experience of the season, in preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ into our world and our hearts... the celebration of Christmas!
