Campaign to END the PAIN!!

Over the last 5 years, I have had 15 surgeries and too many hospital stays to count. I have had to live with constant pain and headaches daily. I have been given the opportunity to go to Kennedy Krieger Institute for Pain Rehabilitation and get the help I need. This program will hopefully help me become “normal” again to do regular things. Participating in this program will mean my family and I will be living up in Baltimore, Maryland for 5-6 weeks. Having my family by my side through all of this definitely means the world to me and will help me push through all the hard times knowing that they are there. The love and support of my family and friends is what has gotten me this far. This Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program is a blessing to be able to participate in. Because we will all need to be away from home for over a month, my mom and dad will be taking a leave of absence from work for this period of time. We will need to maintain the Florida homes expenses and the expenses of travel and food while in Maryland. This campaign will help off-set the costs and supplement our income. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I am hoping to end this darn cycle of in and out of the hospital for headaches, shunt problems, and just being the “sick kid”. This will give me a chance to be just a “kid/adult” who still has a brain tumor and shunt BUT can live YOUNG, WILD, and FREE!!
