Help this mom watch her kids grow up!

Shera Layman was diagnosed two and a half years ago with tracheamalacia (a floppy airway) Just recently in May 2014 she was diagnosed with tracheal stenosis (narrowed airway). This condition is rare as doctors have never seen the two conditions together in such a severe manner. She has been seen at John Hopkins Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Indiappolis University Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Cincinnati University Hospitals. All of these hospitals offered no hope but a doctor at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston Massachusetts has offered a bit of hope with a reconstructive surgery. With surgery scheduled for August 1st 2014. Unfortunately Shera's insurance is not willing to help pay for lodging expense as is the case with a transplant recipient. Shera is not eligible for a lung transplant due to an autoimmune disorder. With insurance unwilling to pay for lodging the hope she was given may not be possible due to the financial hardship it will put on this family of six. Shera will need to stay in Boston near the hospital for five to six weeks after the surgery to monitor her healing. Her husband and four children will be staying with her and need help to pay for lodging, food and transportation. This surgery is the only hope for Shera to watch her four children grow up. Doctors fear that if the procedure is not preformed soon then the window of opportunity will pass.
