Acute lymphoblastic leukemia trial

For those of you whom may not know me I'm Chrystal!!! I'm fighting the battle of my life against acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Theres a big huge explanation as to how they think I got it, which I would be happy to share with you, just message me. After my "induction" phase I began 2 separate chemos to kill the beast, those 2 did not work and my blood numbers began comming back TERRIBLE. So with numerous meetings with my cancer team ( shout out to my cancer team in Cooperstown who has put my health first and who has treated me for MANY years dating back about 10 years when I fought melanoma ) I was then put on a different chemo ( again there is technical names and much more to the story that I dont want to bore you with, but would be happy to share with you if youd like, just message me :). This cocktail of chemo hasn't "worked" but hasn't made me any sicker so that's a good thing right, YEAH right if you like living out your days "sick" then yes this would be a great thing. There are days I cant move off the couch, days my bones hurt so bad I feel as if they are breaking, days where I've honestly thought I'd rather be dead then continue on with the pain, but I do carry on.... I do my best everyday, I work hard because let's face it, who else is gonna support this football of a team we are raising;)
Since my induction didnt work and since I'm at a stand still with my treatment we began exploring clinical trials. GREAT NEWS i got accepted into one that could possibly work!!!! Bad news..... for some ungodly reason insurance companies feel as if cancer patients should have to pay to stay ALIVE..... yeap i get to be told whether my LIFE is worth the payments. It's so so frustrating and UNBELIEVABLE.... so here I am.... begging for help.... yeap i get to BEG for money to stay alive.... amazing right :( ....
I did qualify for a "grant" and my doctors have fought NUMEROUS hours with my insurance company to get them to foot a bit of the bill.... that leaves my portion about 47 and some change.... believe me when i tell you I've contemplated, is my life worth not paying my mortgage, is my life worth skipping a car payment or two.... the answer is OF COURSE IT IS, if that then didnt take resources away from my children.
I'm a mom of 8 beautiful children, and the grandmother to 3 blessings. Im a GREAT person who would give anyone the shirt off my back. But I'm also a very proud person who hates asking and then accepting help.
