For those who don't know, I'm currently on a three month mission trip in Ghana, a small country located in West Africa. I'm residing in the small, rural village of Asikuma, teaching English at a Christian school and assisting in a mission center.
During January of 2017, I traveled to Ghana for my first time and quickly became passionate about the children, the culture and the vision to improve and support the Asikuma village.
The mission center, as well as the Christian School, was founded and is funded by an American non-profit organization called Acts 2 Collective. This organization caters to many different communities across Africa, with the mission of serving as Christian leaders and child advocates by helping orphans and the less fortunate children in the society.
I am kindly asking for donations from friends and family who are willing to help improve the lives of these children by providing donations for basic resources and necessities. If you choose to donate, your money will be allocated to the following things:
-tables and chairs
-mats (to sleep on)
-buckets (for bathing)
Even the smallest donation goes a long way! For example, $1 can provide pencils for an entire classroom! $5 can provide medication for a child in need. Any donation is greatly appreciated, however, spreading the word and sharing the link is also an amazing way to contribute to this cause.
Thank you all for taking the time to read about my journey and I ask that you keep these children in your hearts and in your prayers.
