<div>This October, I’m taking on an 84 mile walk from Epping Forest to Northampton to support the Action for Happiness Northamptonshire Hub, based at Delapré Abbey <a href="https://www.linktr.ee/A4HNorthants" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.linktr.ee/A4HNorthants</a>

<div>Inspired by local poet John Clare, who famously walked home from an asylum in 1841 and the pioneering Dr Prichard who cared for him who used nature and walking to heal, we’re retracing his steps to  share the importance of movement, nature, and relationships are important habits for wellbeing, especially in todays over busy society.

<div>Over four days, friends and members of the Action for Happiness and Delapré Abbey communities will walk together, celebrating our shared mental health heritage and the power of relationships walking and nature.

<div>•	Day 4: A “Path to Peace” walk through Northampton’s heritage sites, finishing at Delapré Abbey

<div>We’re raising £5,000 to support the Action for Happiness Northamptonshire Hub, helping to:

<div>•	<strong>Train local Champions</strong> to share the 10 Keys to Happier Living and the free evidence-based resources of Action for Happiness eg. Mark Williamsons book “Make Life Happier” 
</div>
<div>•	<strong>Support volunteering opportunities</strong> to run courses, happy cafes and groups to build a happier kinder society,as we taking action together.
</div>
<div>•	<strong>Decrease stigma and increase compassion</strong> by consistent community messaging, helping people of all ages, create happier daily habits.

<div><strong>My Story has changed</strong>
</div>

<li>I was going to do the Jurassic Way 36-mile challenge on 16th May 2026. For several reasons, I have pulled out of this event. I wish my friends well who are continuing this. 
</li>
<li>Over busyness and getting older, I am doing what I encourage others to do. I am choosing to slow down, be more aware of what’s important. 
</li>
<li>Not just continuing as I have to do more and push my body. Like John Clare to spend more time in nature and appreciate the healing power of occasionally being still.
