Acres of Opportunity Ranch has been rescuing and rehabilitating horses, adoption, as well as providing educational and therapeutic programs for the Colorado community for 11 years. Many of the programs have supported the cost of the amazing horses, as well as donations from private families and organizations all over the country.
Many horses who come to AOR are given a second chance at a purposeful life and have found suitable, loving homes. However, there are horses who have come and stayed, unadoptable due to their age,
Ongoing expense, chronic lameness, and special needs. Acres of Opportunity Ranch prides itself on their lifetime commitment to each and every horse that walks through their gates.
Acres of Opportunity Ranch is excited to announce it will be reserving space for 5 Sanctuary Horses on the farm in Lafayette. The Sanctuary Horses will be horses who need a forever home and a purposeful , unforgettable life.
In addition, the Sanctary will provide community education for the Prevention of Abuse or Neglected horses, with intention to reduce the number of horses sent to auction or rescue.
We would love to be able to offer the community the opportunities to have access to horses at no charge or by donation. In order to do that, we need to raise money to cover the annual costs to provide these horses with the feed and maintenance they need.
