Hi, my name is Draco. I am a Boxer/Mastiff mix, just over half a year old. I am a rescue whose previous owners were killed in a car accident, and the people that took me in kept me in a tiny cage 24 hours a day. This affected my hips during growing. Thank goodness my mom and dad adopted me. I have a big yard and other animals to play with, including rabbits. I love my home, but unfortunately, the time in the small cage affected my growth and development, leaving me with hip dysplasia in both my hips. Because of this deformation, I hurt myself playing and tore my ACL. Now I can't play outside like I used to, can't run around, and oh boy, do I like to run, and I run fast! The vet says I need surgery to be better. I have medicine for a short time, but my family needs help affording the surgery. Times are tough, and they just moved here and have had recent surgeries themselves. Dad is trying to accumulate money through working a little overtime. Mom's back is bad with nerve damage, and she is on disability. They just weren't ready for this cost! We know it's not your problem, and they wouldn't ask if it wasn't important.
