Medical expenses—Second full Achilles surgery

Donation protected

Hey there!

First and Foremost thank you for reading. I appreciate your time and prayers. I am a very humbled person, who enjoys helping, and being positive. I don’t enjoy asking for help, so please know this is tough.

About me:
I had my first Achilles reconstruction in November 2018 in Louisiana after an accident at work. I was out of work ten months due to the lengthy recovery. I had to relearn how to walk and reuse my foot/leg. To my surprise it was not successful. I had poor mobility and have lived in pain since, but I have continued working, staying positive, and helping anyone that I can. I knew something just didn’t feel right within my foot so I sought out a new opinion.  I saw a new surgeon here in Little Rock in March of 2020 and after a quick exam he let me know that I needed a full Achilles reconstruction, for the second time. The earliest available surgery date was June of 2020, so I went for it. Little did I know due to CoViD19 it would get pushed back to September 23,2020.  With that being said, I sit here two days prior to surgery knowing what’s ahead and potentially being out of work for the next ten months. It’s scary and the bills don’t stop rolling in.

I am responsible for 20% of my surgery cost plus anesthesia fees, any Physical Therapy, and follow up appointments. Roughly a total of $20,000. So I set my goal to half of that and it would be amazing if it can be achieved.

If you can’t donate, say a prayer because ultimately that’s what gets us through. Thank you for your time. I will update as often and as soon as I can.
