Achieve my goal of becoming a tattoo artist

I am so over the moon that it's just been confirmed that I've received a small amount of funding from carers first to allow me to put a deposit down and book this course! Making it feel even more real and making me more determined!

Hi, I'm kali, I'm 26 years old and a single parent to 3.

I've took a few years out of work to raise my children and attend to my daughters additional needs and finally feel ready to try to return to work in a career that supports my mental health and in turn, my physical health.

Art has always been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, I ooze creativity and art in any form helps to calm me and clear my mind. In the last year it's played an even bigger part in my life helping me to manage depression and express myself in a healthy way. I've jumped across so many various mediums to express my creativity and love the challenge of learning something new. However after years of contemplating I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a tattoo machine.

This is the medium I've finally fallen in love with completely. It kicked me up the bum to start really becoming disciplined and more dedicated to my drawing and developing the skills I already have.

I'm so lucky in the support I've already been given by those around me, putting their confidence in me and I feel determined to achieve my goal and make a career out of this.

I want to do an intensive tattoo course with the uk official tattoo academy. This is a CPD accredited course and will give me so much. A huge confidence boost, a good foundation of skills, knowledge and advice into starting a business from this and all the legal requirements as well.

This course is prices at £1899, which with 3 children to look after is alot to spend on myself even for further education and because of the type of course it is funding and grants seem non existent.

Any little extra to help me cover the course fees would be so appreciated and I'd like to show that through offering forms of my art.

I'd like to offer:

For £20 donations, a digital portrait or drawing of your choice.

For £50 donations, a free small tattoo up to 10x10cm once I'm accredited and liscensed.

For £100 donations, a free 3 hour tattoo session once I'm accredited and licensed.

For £150 donations, 50% off 3 tattoo sessions of any length once I'm accredited and licensed.

This has become a huge goal of mine, and I've spent hours upon hours searching for grants, going through finances and getting advice to make this achievable.

I want to be able to show my children they can do anything once they put their mind to it and what better way than to do that myself.
