A Wheelchair For Nyomi

Nyomi is a fabulous 5 year-old-girl with Cerebral Palsy who needs a wheelchair at home. The chair she currently has doesn't allow her to freely move and play and makes day to day life more challenging than it should be. Insurance doesn't see or understand the need for an accessible chair at home, so we're going to help Nyomi out and make sure she's able to do all the things her friends and sister are doing!

Nyomi is the type of kid who lights up a room with her big smile. She loves having her big sister read her stories (5 Little Monkeys is her current #1) and one of her favorite things to do is to get her groove on with mom and her friends. Nyomi's best dance move is her happy feet, which are always kicking, especially when the Little Rooster song is on!

Nyomi lives with her amazing mom and older sister who want Nyomi to be a part of everything they do. They all love cooking together, playing dress-up and singing! It's important that Nyomi has a chair that would allow her to be in the kitchen with them, helping mix and stir and while wearing her princess dress.

The Rifton Activity chair is designed to give Nyomi the best access in her home. It can raise to the counter and then all the way down to the ground, it tilts back and fourth, and gives Nyomi full postural support and stability. One of the best parts of the Rifton chair is that it grows with the child, so it will be a chair that she will use for many years to come.
