OUR WORK
Education Program (to create access to education by availing education funds)
1. Activities - We offer scholarships and bursaries to our beneficiaries. We measure the outputs which can be the number of beneficiaries who receive the scholarship, the beneficiaries selected for the program may be 'orphans, disabled, from nuclear families, or generally poor, etc,' interventions involved include 'living expenses, uniforms & shoes, tuition, exams registrations, etc.'
2. Outcomes - We look at changes in behavior, condition or status that results from a programmatic intervention (#Beneficiaries improving their performance in school, graduating and taking on influential positions in government or society, students leaving school career or college ready, etc)
3. Impact - We reflect on long term change (This is often a result of many interventions over time as described above eg. reduced family poverty, or reduced community unemployment, etc.)
What we give (Annual support per student):
1. Tuition ($90.00)
2. Living expenses ($432.00)
3. Stationery ($108.00)
4. School uniforms & shoes ($120.00)
5. Medical & other ($120.00)
6. Examinations & registrations (Applicable to final year students)
Annual total per student: $870.00
Leadership Program (to ensure school completion for beneficiaries and preparing them for future leadership roles)
1. Activities - (The program includes four components which are mentoring, coaching, entrepreneurship training, and emotional development. We look at the number of beneficiaries served, and their demographics, number of pieces of training held, and the dollars spend per project.)
2. Outcomes - We look at the changes in behavior and new skills gained e.g. students improve in coping skills, public speaking skills, proposal writing, critical thinking skills, girls avoid getting pregnant while in school, engage in extra-curricular activities or volunteer work, have better life ambitions and career goals, are able to influence their peers.)
3. Impact - Long term changes like students taking on leadership positions in the community or corporate community, graduates start their own businesses, students join global corporations, students join global corporations, students are able to use their skills to change the world, reduced child marriages, reduced dropouts rates, etc.)
