Medical Bills, Life goes on

Donation protected
Hello my name is Coleen and this is my story. I've been married for the first time for 7 years. We met at football game I was working, at the First Aid station. We were soul mates from the beginning. We met in November, married in March.

June 6th changed our world for ever, but, we can deal with anything. With the help that has been given by the generosity of everyone we can start to move in a forward direction. Steve got a systemic Staph A infection that tried its best to kill him, 5 times, 4 major surgeries. He has spent a Total of 73 days in ICU. They still can't figure out how or why this has happened. He has had a heart attack while in ICU to complicate matters. There are so many issues it isn't funny, but he's home now. Something they never thought was going to happen. He's weak, frail (he's lost 70 pounds) but he hasn't given up, not once. They have finally taken the pic-line out and he's making baby steps.

His heart isn't as strong as we thought. We are facing some challenges there. But we can over come them with the help of a good cardiologist

The hard part is as you've guessed paying life's expenses When your reduced to one income the ability to take time to do what's needed is weighed against the need to work. I want to be able to stay home and help him recover, to provide the support he needs but the bills, the needs, they don't stop. I'm working every minute I can. Your donation would do several things. Let me spend a few days a week at home, pay for medications, and let us get a wheelchair that fits Steve.

Here is the story.....
Steve my husband is ill.  He has had several issues, the least of which is Staph A infection that's trying to kill him.  He's had surgery 4 times and looking at at least 1 more.  He had surgery to remove pus off his spinal cord, with in incision from T1 to the base of his spine.  His legs are affected, time will let me know if he can walk again.  But he alive and I am blessed for that.  He had a MI dueling this time but they cannot do anything about the damage due to the infection. His right shoulder and are are infected and have had major surgery to remove pus.  I work part time and he was the one who our insurance was through.  My greatest concerns are the insurance and the co-pays.

This was yesterday after recovery.  I want to thank everyone who has been beside us and helping me and Steve through this.  Blessings to everyone.
