Our Mission
The Austin Community Family Center inspires and empowers Austin residents of all ages to realize their strengths, possibilities and potential. In collaboration with community partners, ACFC provides holistic programs that build healthy minds, bodies, and spirits.
We Need Your Support!
Our Chicago Austin community, through the Austin Community Family Center, raises responsible, smart Chicago youth who are funny, smart, curious, hardworking and confident students. Faced with crime and poverty historically, Austin families are anchoring one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Chicago. The Austin Community Family Center provides safe sidewalk passage, safe recreation and expanded tutoring options for neighborhood children and young leaders eager to graduate high school.
ACFC Summer Break Camp
For $35 a child, you can sponsor one or more children this summer for 6 weeks (June - August)! We need your donations now!
Our Summer Break Camp will be open from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Neighborhood kids, ages 6 to 15 deserve our creative and tutoring attention. There are 100 children that need your support so they can have recreation, tutoring, art & music and modern dance. We provide a warm, safe and violence free place to read and study along with a supervised environment to have fun.

OTHER WAYS TO HELP!
Install a Wheelchair Lift ($6,000)
The Austin Community Family Center needs a stair lift at our entrance for the disabled, seniors and others, to provide convenient access to the building.
Gymnasium Improvements ($11,000)
Our small and large gyms, in addition to regular maintenance, are in great need of resurfacing in order to provide a clean, safe, recreation arena for families. Your donation prepares floors for basketball and Four Square, and painting and cleaning our bathrooms and locker rooms.
