Creating access to data education

Delta Analytics is a 501c(3) Bay Area non-profit that offers 100% free data analysis services for non-profit organizations. We believe that data is powerful, and that anybody should be able to harness it for change.
We are building and teaching an accessible introduction to machine learning course for students passionate about the power of data to do good. Our team of Delta teaching fellows are partnering with Moringa Schools in Nairobi, Kenya to work with passionate students from across Africa excited about understanding what is possible with machine learning in their communities. We will teach our class in person, hold office hours for the community and visit organizations that are using data to have a social impact.
At the end of July, we will release our course content for free on our Delta GitHub . Our Delta teaching fellows will continue to hold affordable trainings around the world to help democratize access to machine learning knowledge.
Now we need to ask for your help. We would love you to be involved in our journey, and enable us to teach in person in Nairobi, Kenya while still keeping the cost of the course accessible. Consider making a donation of $50 to help make our work possible. If you are able to make a donation of over $150, we would ask that you additionally email [email redacted] with your mailing address. We will be sending you a small thank you gift purchased locally in Nairobi.
Your funds will go toward:
1. Enabling our team to pilot our curriculum with local partners in Nairobi, Kenya without impacting costs to students.
2. Weekend work space and food budget for our 8 Delta teaching fellows to develop the course curriculum and curate the content for our GitHub.

Since our inception, Delta Analytics has completed 26 free data science projects with nonprofits around the world. Our work is possible because of our community of 80+ professional data scientists, engineers and analysts.
