I am the Academic POW. Thank you for stopping by. I would like to share a problem which is plaguing This country and has for a very long time. You know for too many years Bullying and denial of education has been ramped in this country.
according to recent statics is the following facts According to Dan Olweus, of The National School Safety Center:
American schools harbor approximately 2.1 million bullies and 2.7 million of their victims.
* 1 in 7 Students in Grades K-12 is either a bully or a victim of bullying.
* 56% of students have personally witnessed some type of bullying at school.
* 15% of all school absenteeism is directly related to fears of being bullied at school.
* 71% of students report incidents of bullying as a problem at their school.
* 1 out of 20 students have seen a student with a gun at school.
* 282,000 students are physically attacked in secondary schools each month.
This is only getting worst as time goes on and authorities either do not have the resources to deal with or most likely do not care what damages is done due to them not dealing with it in their area. I am one such victim myself
Also many of these victims ended up homeless or worst dead due to suicides, drugs or worst.
This is a problem because of these victims being blocked in developing a future. We see this with the student loan vulture debacle and in some cases the minds who may have solutions to many of this worlds ills. problems areas such trash reduction, pollution problems, better Education to address many of the ills we humans must face, however many bright minds are prevented from pursuing as are being prevented from doing so because of things such as the loan debacle which affect some 44 millions Americans. being ignored because of the lack a piece of paper, yet they may have a solid idea and not heard because of that. When will this stop? At one time America was the land of opportunities.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to return opportunities back to those that have been forgotten and willing to roll up their sleeves if given the chance to do so. obtain seed capital to help those who like myself was bullied to the point of not getting the training and resources needed to turn that around in their lives and therefore be productive members of society . Also to help those on the streets that are capable of with assistance pull themselves out of the mud and back on their feet and be productive and to achieve the sanctification of achievement. Please help us to help others.
