Academic Funding for my Sibling

My sibling is currently working on their last year of their PhD program where they are working towards the goal of getting their degree in Linguistics with a focus on Trans Masculinities, Identity, and Language. This field is integral to growth of our society.
Over the past year, I have watched as they have struggled with this process. Getting a PhD is incredibly difficult, yet so important in education, both for those learning, and those who will benefit from those who are learned. In turn, this process has taken an emotional toll, causing some mental health issues that made it impossible for my sibling to get to where they were hoping in the time frame that funding allowed.
If we are able to get funding, they will be defending their dissertation in January, 2018 at Rice University.
I have watched my sibling work long, hard hours, as they prepare to defend their dissertation.
Funding needed is only to pay the Rice University bill for Fall of 2017; funding is needed as soon as possible to make this happen.
