Now the documentary is out! PBS.com twice born, please watch:) I really want to share this big excitement with everyone in my life! God is good and he truly has made a miracle in my life as well as for my baby! At twelve weeks of
pregnancy I was given the most devastating news that any mother could recieve, a diagnostic from a genetics office that my baby had developed a oral gingival teratoma (a tumor from inside the mouth). They gave me no hope, telling me that there practice had never seen something like that and that if I decided to keep the baby it could die at birth, and that i also was putting my life at risk. My desicion was clear I finished my last semester and headed out to New Jersey with my parents. I immediately looked for specialist for a second opinion I didnt know a the moment how grateful I was going to be, I ended up in the best children's hospital in the world! Children's hospital of Philadelphia(CHOP)! From the day I arrived to CHOP they gave me HOPE. They did a series of test and by the end of that day they gave me a diagnostic and told me what there plan would be if i decided to continue with my pregnancy. There famous motto is Hope lives here, and i can defenitely vouch for that! Lilly was born at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on October 17,2013 via an exit procedure. Is a type of c-section in which the mother is still attached via umbilical cord to the baby while the doctor's find a secure airway and in her case removed the outside of the tumor, it was ONE whole pound! Inital diagnosis was an oral gingivval teratoma (a tumor from inside her mouth). As a result she had a traecheostomy tube placed,( it helps her breath thru her trachea/throat). Lilly immediately headed to the neonatal intensive care unit(NICU), where she was on support and pain relievers. Ten long days after she headed for another surgery to remove the tumor from inside her mouth. It was a success! She stayed 4 more months under 24hr care. On February 21, 2014 we headed home for the first time. With the challenges of being home traveling to CHOP every two week and sometimes even weekly as an outpatient. On May 7th her plastic surgery was done and also a great success. Now we are awaiting for the desicion for her next surgery it could be at a year of age or 18 months.

A documentary is being filmed since lilly was born till the day it airs in the spring of 2015!

You all may ask how do I do it, well with the help of my loved ones and many other people I am able to stay at home with my daughter!

The funding will also go to helping with transportation cost to CHOP and also to everyday expenses.

God bless everyone who takes the time to read my story, please share
