Abused Child in Need

I want to start this Gofundme by thanking my wife, Jamie Clayton Jones, and her cousin Courtney Clayton for their many months of hard work. It is finally paying off!!! We pick a family in need every Christmas holiday season. We have donated many toys, clothes, christmas trees, etc over the years to a deserving family. We want to help another family this year that is in need. That family is ours. We have a neice that has been trapped in an insanely abusive household for years. She is now 15 years old. We are still involved in an ongoing court case, so the details I am willing to share at this time are limited. I can say that after many months of hearings, postponements, meetings with family and attorneys, we are making some ground. On Tuesday, Nov 19 our family was awarded temporary guardianship of the child (intentionally not using names). We had her in our home and were tasked with making sure she was trouble free, reinstated in school, taken to counseling, and most importantly, loved. They checked on our progress daily. We had a great week and went back to court that following Tuesday, Nov 26. At that hearing, the judge determined that sending her home with her mother or grandfather would be a "recipe for disaster." We were again given temporary guardianship, until our next court hearing which is scheduled for Dec 13th. At this hearing, the judge will make his final decision on the best living arrangements for her. We are confident that she will remain in our home indefinitely. We do not receive money from the state or from the biological parents to help with the child's care. While her biological father is working with us to win the case, the biological mother is not willing to help at all, as she will not provide us with her daughter's clothes, shoes, coat, school supplies, or any personal belongings (even though ordered by the court). We are asking for anyone that is able to help by supplying anything for a 15 year old girl. This child has not had a loving family Christmas in many years and we are determined to make that happen this year. We are interested in any donations possible. We will supply all receipts to each and every donor to allow you to donate in confidence. For those not interested in donating money, pm me and I can supply you with gift ideas or clothing sizes. 100% of all donations will benefit this child. We have budgeted throughout the year to ensure that our own children, ages 4 and 6, will have a great Christmas as well. I must say that I am way out of my comfort zone asking for help, but my pride is not as important as her well being and happiness.
