Abraham's Back to Work Fund

I want you meet my friend Abraham Garzon. We became friends almost immediately after meeting in Chapala. He is kind and joyful and helpful to everyone. I rely on his help a lot and I don't think my transition to MX would be so wonderful without his generous assistance. He is a beautiful soul, inside and out.
As a US citizen and business owner, he suffered as did many in the economic crash of '08/'09. Unable to find sustainable work in the US, he eventually relocated to MX. To make money here, he's done a number of odd jobs.
Recently, he found a groove. A friend gave him a car to repair, resell, and keep the profit. The goal was to repeat the process. Abraham taught himself how to rebuild the car- engine/transmission and all. When the car was drivable, he made money for parts by taking neighbors to appointments and translating for them. They too, have come to rely on him.
In addition to his clients, he takes care of his wife who is a DAV (Disabled American Veteran), his mother who has Alzheimer's and Asthma, and other members of his family.
Things were progressing until a major misfortune struck. Abraham's (loaned) car was stolen with his auto repair tools inside. The car, which did not legally belong to him yet was not fully insured. I've been told that bad things happen to people and maybe it's not a good idea to ask for help in this way.
I guess if I had something else I could do, I would do it. There's nothing I would not do to help a friend who is truly in need.  In his case, there are no wealthy family or friends to turn to, no back up job. On the contrary, there are elderly and infirmed people counting on him.
I launched this campaign to ask anyone who might be willing or able to help with:

- Paying off the original car owner
- Re-purchasing the auto repair tools
- Purchasing the parts to get another vehicle up and     running

I'm grateful for you taking the time to read this. I'm grateful whether or not you decide to donate. There is a village of people who will be grateful to have their reliable, friendly, services restored. No one will be more grateful to you than Abraham.
