Abraham Begay Navajo silversmith

Abraham Begay, known for his unique art in silversmith has suffered a lost recently. On October 15th 2018, Abraham and his wife Paula were on their way back from Oklahoma when they stopped to eat in Albuquerque NM. While inside the restaurant someone smashed the window to their SUV and took 2 suitcases out. One suitcase contained ALL of Abraham's inventory of jewelry. Many bracelets, rings, necklaces, bolo ties and earrings were stolen. Mainly one of a kind pieces.  All worth thousands of dollars. This is his only source of income and has been for 30+ years. Its heartbreaking to know this has happened to him. Abraham and Paula are known by many and loved by many in the jewelry community. They are hard workers and very respectful people in the business.
